YES 933 Singapore Hits Awards

Went to catch the Singapore Hits Award with my family last night. Bought the 3-for-1 offer last Sunday, and from what I see at the seats, it seemed to be 75-80% filled. Not bad, considering the lack of the big names to the event (namely Jay Chou, Jolin, Wang Li Hom, S.H.Ella, etc.)


Missed most of the Red Carpet ceromony, but managed to get pictures of the last few celebraties...those more 大牌 ones (aka more famous)

Headed off to our seats once all the stars have arrived. Didn't get much good pictures from the position which we're seated, since we're almost seated at the last row, and the lighting from my position didn't provide much great shots...here's the better ones among them:

Some pet peeves about the event though:

1) Seems like the producers know how to manipulate the Energy fans...when the crowd seems to quiet down, they'll just have to show Energy on the big screens.

And the screams will come....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH


2) Yes, I know last bus leaves at 11+pm, but can't the people wait till they presented the final and most prestigeous award to Emil Chou instead? It's a little depressing if you are the receipent and you see 1/4 of the audience streaming out during your performance...

Just wished that the bus/MRT services could end later on days with major events/concerts...


3) I caught part of the delayed telecast on TV today, and they cut down the amount of footage, from a 3+hrs show, to a 90 mins (heck, seems like 30 mins of commericals) TV special.

Geez...it's really watered-down till they cut out all the best parts of the show. I rather they show the whole show, unedited in perhaps at a later time (e.g: a few months later) rather than to show a heavily-edited ceremony, 1 day after the live event.
